The economic and social importance of innovation in services

Tuesday 16 September, 2008. cancelled

One thing we have learnt from the research and innovation policy dialogue workshops held to date in support of the RNIS is that the greatest progress is made via smaller invitation only meetings.

As a result, we have decided to:

  • Turn the policy dialogue workshop planned for Monday 15th September into a small invitation-only roundtable meeting on “Public Sector and NGO Innovation”.
This meeting will scope out the key policy research challenges, identify the type of policy dialogue on facilitating public sector innovation that would be useful, and agree on some initial themes for a series of future roundtable meetings examining specific issues in greater detail.
  • Cancel the policy dialogue workshop planned for Tuesday 16th September on “The economic and social importance of innovation in services”.
  • Revise the format of the policy dialogue workshop “Learning from different central economic ministry perspectives on research and innovation”.
This policy dialogue is being developed by a series of face to face meetings with senior officials.
